Almost Heaven Barn Hosts Festival of Trees

By Julie Perine on November 29, 2021

Almost Heaven Barn hosted its first Festival of Trees weekend. The barn featured 30 beautifully-decorated Christmas trees. Guests could purchase tickets for chances to win the trees, as well as several gift baskets, all donated by area businesses. The barn also featured holiday craft vendors, ornament decorating, face painting and visits with Santa (Gene) and Mrs. Claus. Outside on the patio was a cocoa bar and s'more-making station. Food trucks lined the premises. Guests could enoy their food purchases and treats at the outdoor fire pit, where children's games were located nearby. Another main attraction was horseback riding, located in the side lawn. The Festival of Tres is a fundraiser for the Wings of Hope cancer charity.

The event will continue Friday through Sunday, Dec. 3-5. Hours are 4-8 p.m. Friday; 1-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-6 p.m. Sunday. Tickets for the trees and gift baskets will be drawn 5:30-6 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is $10 for guests over the age of 10. Horseback rides are $5 each and pictures with Santa are $20 per family. Face painting is $5 for basic and $10 for bling. See photos of opening weekend at the link below.

Almost Heaven Barn is located at 63 Jadewood Drive, just off Saltwell Road. Owner Angela Holt organized the event with hopes of providing local families with a magical Christmas experience and raising dollars for the important charity.
