Annual BMS Softball Pancake Fundraiser a Success

While weather caused havoc with the Bridgeport Middle School Lady Braves softball schedule last week, it did not impact the team's annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser. That event when on as scheduled at Buffalo Wild Wings in Bridgeport on Saturday (April 9).
The team members served as hostesses, waitresses, coffee and soft drink runners, and table cleaning staff. As a result of their fundraising efforts, the softball team raised nearly $2,200 for the BMS Boosters organization.
The BMS Lady Braves players and coaches thank the management of Buffalo Wild Wings for their assistance and cooperation with this venture.
As for the weater, BMS was scheduled to play three games last week. However, Mother Nature had different ideas. All three games were postponed due to inclement weather and/or poor field conditions.
The April 4 game at Westwood Middle School has been rescheduled for May 3 at 6 p.m. The April 6 home game versus South Middle School does not have a date or time set. The April 8 away game with Washington Irving Middle School has been reset for May 6 at 6 p.m.
