Harrison County’s first detox and residential recovery facility for drug and alcohol addiction, the Arch Recovery Center, celebrated its grand opening on Wednesday with an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony.
The $6.1 million privately owned building in Mount Clare will employ 55 people and services offered include therapy, group therapy, medical supervision and aftercare planning.
Arch Recovery had a soft opening seven weeks ago and has already had 15 graduates.
Several local and state officials and delegates were present for the open house and ribbon cutting including West Virginia Secretary of State Kris Warner and State Senator Ben Queen, who both were among the featured speakers at the event.
“This center is a door for people who have been told no far too many times,” Queen said. “It’s a door for families who have prayed for help and a door for a community that knows the cost of addiction and still chooses hope.
“The Arch Recover Center isn’t just a building. It’s a bridge to a new beginning.”
