The Bridgeport High School Lacrosse Team placed six players on Harrison County’s All-County Lacrosse Team.
Those players are:
Goltender:
Alex Blevins. BHS sophomore
Defense:
Anthony Trupo, BHS senior
Adam Wroe, BHS senior
Nathan Johnson, BHS sophomore
Harrison Strong, BHS freshman
Alec Balon, BHS sophomore
Also making the All-Harrison County team were:
Logan Curan, Liberty High School freshman (defense)
Tyler Plum, Lincoln High School junior (long stick midfield)
Craig Dennison, Lincoln High School senior (midfield)
Matthew Eve, Liberty High School senior (attack)
Jacob Short, Liberty High School freshman (attack)
In addition to All-County honors, Anthony Trupo was awarded 2nd Team All-State as a defender and Adam Wroe was awarded Honorable Mention as a defender.
“Anthony and Adam were the backbone of our defense this season,” said Bridgeport Coach Jim Mullen. “Anthony was always given the task of shutting down our opponent’s top scorer. Adam brought so much versatility. In addition to playing close and crease defense, I often called on him to play both long stick and short stick middie.”
