Bridgeport Farmers Market Alerting Vendors of Scam
By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on October 06, 2026
FROM THE BRIDGEPORT FARMERS AND MAKERS MARKET
We’ve been made aware of a scam targeting vendors who are interested in joining the Bridgeport Farmers & Makers Market.
Scammers are sending what appears to be a legitimate vendor application and even following up with an approval email. The scam then asks vendors to wire money to a Canadian bank account.
If you receive an email from bridgeportfarmersmrkt @gmail.com please be aware that it is a scam and is NOT affiliated with the Bridgeport Farmers & Makers Market.
Please do not send any money, personal information, or banking information in response.
If you’re unsure whether an email is actually from BFM2, please reach out to us directly before sending any payment or personal information.
Please share this post with any vendors or small businesses who may be interested in joining the market. We want to make sure everyone stays informed and protected.
