Bridgeport among Emergency Crews at Structure Fire

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on April 14, 2025

The Bridgeport Fire Department assisted on the scene of a Sunday morning fire that destroyed a home in the Glen Elk section of Clarksburg.

According to the Harrison-Taylor 911 media log, the call came in at 2:55 a.m. Crews, led by the Clarksburg Fire Department, arrived to the scene to a working fire.

First responders spent several hours on the scene despite putting it out in relatively short order. It did damage to at least one surrounding structure on North 3rd Street.

No one was injured in the blaze, according to officials. The house was also on Clarksburg’s list of condemned structures.

Additional information was not available as of this morning.
