Bridgeport's Thomas Michael Sears, Former Owner of Country Club Chrysler, Passes Away at 66

Thomas Michael Sears, 66, of Bridgeport passed away Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015 at United Hospital Center. 
 
Thomas was born June 2, 1949 in Clarksburg; son of Helen Portaro Sears Cutright. He graduated from R.W. High School, WV Business School and Fairmont State College. Thomas joined the Navy as a Sonar and Radar Specialist. He was the former owner of Country Club Chrysler; he retired from Dan Cava Toyota World in 2014. 
 
Thomas leaves behind his wife, Cindra Spence Sears; two sons, Tyson and Cody Sears; his mother, Helen Cutright; and best friends, David and Dottie Layton; two step brothers, Stan and Ed Cutright; uncle Ben Portaro; two aunts, Emma Belcastro, Sylvia Basile; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandfather and grandmother; Pete and Carmela Portaro; step sister, Loretta Labrie; step father, Orla Cutright; uncle William Portaro. 
 
Thomas loved hunting deer and turkey. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was loved by everyone who knew him. 
 
A Mass of Christian burial was held today - Monday, Oct. 5, 2015 - at All Saints Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with Father Benedict Kapa as celebrant.
