A single-vehicle accident in Harrison County resulted in one medical transport and the need for traffic control.
Members of the Reynoldsville Volunteer Fire Department were alerted to the wreck at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 10. The accident in question was reported to be on Route 50 East near the Wilsonburg exit. The report also stated there were injuries.
Several members from the RVFD responded to the scene. Upon arrival, the first responders found the vehicle on the eastbound side of Route 50 facing westbound traffic. It had suffered damage to the front end.
There was one occupant in the vehicle. That individual had exited the vehicle prior to RVFD showing up on the scene.
The Harrison County Emergency Squad arrived and assisted with the individual. That person was taken from the scene for additional medical care and evaluation.
RVFD crews worked on clearing debris and fluids from that area of Route 50. The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department, which is overseeing the investigation, also assisted at the accident.
There was no word on the severity of the injuries suffered by the driver.
