City Faces in Different Places

By Michelle Duez on October 02, 2016 from City Faces

Please take a moment to meet this week’s City Face Khristine Mason, sponsored by Higinbotham & Higinbotham, PLLC:

How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Two years

Where are you originally from? Khristine grew up in Tucker County.  She is 1986 Tucker County High School graduate. She earned her accounting degree from Fairmont State University.

Are you married? Yes, to Mike Mason. Mike is vice-president of United Security Agency. He is originally from Moundsville, West Virginia.

Children? Khristine and Mike have five children.  Lindsey Mills, 25, is a RN at United Hospital Center.  Lashley Mills, 24, is in her first year of law school at WVU.  Ronnie Mills, 20, is a junior at WVU studying exercise physiology.  Matt, 26, is attending Palmer Chiropractic School in Florida and Marissa, 24, works at Bridgeport Physical Therapy.

What is your favorite color? Blue

Where do you work? She has worked at United Security Agency for fifteen years.  She is currently a customer service representative.

Favorite Bridgeport spot? Khristine and her husband, Mike, enjoy running on the trails throughout the city.

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? Blackwater Falls in her home county is her favorite spot.  She enjoys each visit as it always looks different depending on the season and the weather conditions.

Favorite place outside of WV? Sedona Desert is beautiful, especially the red rocks, therefore it’s become her favorite place outside West Virginia to hike and relax.

Favorite restaurant? Oliverios Ristorante

Best childhood memory? Khristine remembers going to the bank with her dad and her sister on Friday afternoons.  While waiting in the car with her sister, she once dared her sister to put her tongue in the cigarette lighter… and she did.  This isn’t necessarily her favorite childhood memory but it was the very first that entered her mind when asked the question.

Favorite musical group? Country and Justin Timberlake

Pets? Two dogs – a Golden Retriever named Duke and a Jack Russell Terrier named Mya and a cat named Snowflake

Hobbies? Running, hiking and biking

Interesting fact about you? All five of Khristina’s children have attended college or are currently enrolled.  She is very proud of their success.  The three colleges are Wheeling Jesuit, West Virginia Wesleyan College and West Virginia University.
