City Faces in Different Places

Mother of two Bridgeport High Shool graduates and one BHS junior, this week's Ciy Face loves her hometown of Bridgeport, of which she has been a resident for two decades. Meet Beth Ann Pinti Griffith.
How long have you lived in Bridgeport? What brought you here? I have lived in Bridgeport for 20 years. I was raised in Clarksburg and graduated from WVU with a degree in Physical Therapy. I lived in Cincinnati, Ohio for eight years after graduation before moving back to the area.
Tell me about your family ... My husband Brian and I have been married for 27 years. We have three daughters, Rachel, Emily, and Julia. Rachel is 25, and works as an esthetician at Tuscan Sun Spa as well as being a professional makeup designer for BHS theater and Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center. She is engaged and will marry her fiance, Daniel Clouse, in September 2020. Emily is 22, and recently got married July 2019 to her husband Michael. They both attend the University of Chicago. She is pursuing a Master's of Divinity, and Michael is in law school. Julia is 17 and a junior at BHS where she is a member of the varsity volleyball team and student council.
Do you have any pets? We have one dog, Teddy. He is a two-year-old black lab/American bulldog mix that we got as a puppy from the Harrison County Humane Society. He's quite the character, but so sweet,
Tell me your hobbies and favorite past times ... I love exploring new areas/travel. I also really love to cook, and my husband has recently begun making his own wine, so that's been a lot of fun too! I also love to read and taking walks by Hinkle and Deegan Lakes. Our family really enjoys the outdoors. We used to camp when the girls were younger, but as activities got more time consuming we eventually stopped.
What is your favorite Bridgeport spot? I would have to say my front 
porch or Hinkle and Deegan Lake trail. I have a great view from my porch of a horse pasture. It's a beautiful and peaceful place to relax when the weather is nice.

What do you love most about our city? I love the sense of community in Bridgeport. The community is so supportive of one another. It's such a sweet slice of small town USA. It's been a great place to raise our family.
What is your favorite Bridgeport event? Probably like most residents, I love the Homecoming Parade and Light Up Night. The feeling of community, especially on those nights, is pretty unique.
What's your favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? That's a hard one. We are blessed with such a beautiful state! Stonewall Jackson Resort is special to our family since we camped there often, but also the Canaan Valley area and the mountains are beautiful too. Although, I'll leave the skiing to Brian and Emily!
Where do you work and what do you do there? I work at Pinti Physical Therapy in Nutter Fort. I am a physical therapist there. I specialize in vestibular rehab.
What is your favorite place to visit outside of West Virginia? Italy! We took a big family trip there three years ago. We were able to see the homes where each of my grandparents were born. It was such an incredible experience. We can't wait to go back some day.
Tell me about some of your favorite things ... Favorite Food: good Italian food. Favorite local restaurants: Julio's, Mountaineer Grille, Mia Margarita's, Muriale's, and Meagher's. Favorite colors: various 
shades of blue/teal. Favorite music genre/artist: I have a pretty wide range. I like everything from classic rock, Contemporary Christian, some country, and Broadway music.

What is your best childhood memory? Sunday dinners every week at Grandma and Grandpa Pinti's house! Everyone gathered there. My family also took a beach vacation with our cousins every summer, and for several years that involved piling all nine of us into a van. The kids all loved being packed into that van, but I can't believe our parents didn't pull their hair out! I grew up in a tight-knit family who all lived on the same street in Clarksburg. I literally had both sets of grandparents, my aunt, uncle and cousins, as well as great grandparents all on the same street. We were together and in and out of each other's homes all the time, and it was such a wonderful way to grow up.
What else would you like to add? My faith is very important to me. God has blessed our family in so many ways, and we are so
