City Faces in Different Places

By Julie Perine on June 07, 2020 from City Faces

This week's City Face is Alexia De Piano, who grew up right here in Bridgeport, the former Alexia Michael. Learn about her here:

So Alexia, tell me about your family ...
I am married and have a daughter named Adalai (Add-A-Lay). I got married in 2016 to Alex and we had our daughter in July 2019. She is almost a year old now. We just bought our forever home at the end of 2019 and have loved raising our daughter in this home!

Do you have pets?
We have a dog named Ace. He is a golden doodle who is the best big brother ever!

Where do you work and what do you do there?
I work for West Virginia Birth to Three as a Service Coordinator. I love my job and getting to meet and work with new kiddos and families is my favorite part.

What are your favorite pasttimes?
My favorite hobby is spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy crafting with my Cricut, attending concerts and exercise.

What is your favorite city spot?
My favorite Bridgeport spot is either the City Park, or being at my brother's pool. I love when the park is filled in the summertime and I also love being at my brother's pool with all of our friends and families on the weekends.

Why do you love Bridgeport? Why is it a good place to live?
I love Bridgeport because no matter where you go, you will always see a familiar face and always be welcomed with smiling faces. Its a great place to live and raise a family because you will always feel safe and at home.

What are your favorite city events?
I love all of the events that take place in Bridgeport, but I especially enjoy the Fourth of July fireworks and Light up Night. Christmas time around here is my absolute favorite.

What about your favorite spot outside of Bridgeport?
My favorite spot outside of Bridgeport is Tucker County. My family has a cabin on the Cheat River.

And what about your favorite place outside of the state?
My favorite place outside of West Virginia is Hilton Head.

Tell me about some of your favorite things ... music, food, etc.
My favorite food is a salad with all of the toppings, my favorite color is pink, my favorite music genre is country and my favorite artist is Thomas Rhett.

What is your best childhood memory?
My best childhood memory is always playing in my neighborhood. Whether it was four square, kickball, or spotlight tag, we were always all outside playing together.

What is an interesting fact about you?
An interesting fact is that everyone's names in my family starts with the letter A, including our dog, and we plan to carry that on.
