City of Clarksburg Reveals Spring Cleanup Schedule

The City of Clarksburg will sponsor its Annual Residential Spring Clean-Up once again in 2025.
 
What’s Included:
Open trucks will be available to collect items too large or bulky for regular garbage pick-up, including:
• Stoves, washers, dryers, hot water tanks
• Electronic equipment (TVs, microwaves, computers)
• Normal household items
Important Notes:
• Refrigerators, air conditioners, and freezers must be properly tagged, showing proof that all Freon has been professionally removed. Items without proof of Freon removal will NOT be picked up.
• Not Accepted: Regular household garbage, demolition/construction materials, corrugated cardboard, broken glass (unless boxed/contained), vehicle parts, batteries, tires, liquids (paint, sealers, etc.)
• Limit: One small truckload per residence.
Disposal Alternatives:
• Used motor oil: AutoZone – 106 W. Main
• Vehicle parts/appliances: Clarksburg Scrap Metals – 702 N. Ohio Avenue; Nicholson Auto, Inc. – 168 Peck Street
Resident Instructions:
Place items at the curb or in the alley by 7:00 a.m. on your designated day. If possible, put items out the evening before.
Small items must be boxed, bagged, or tied. No loose items will be collected. All containers must be disposable and light enough for one person to lift into a dump truck.
No contractor materials or yard waste will be accepted. Yard waste will be collected separately by the Compost Department.
