Dairy Queen to Honor 2019 Pool Cards

By Chris Johnson on June 08, 2020

Although the City pool will not open this summer because of ongoing concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a bit of good news related to the facility.

The nearby Dairy Queen on West Main Street will honor all discounts for the establishment from the 2019 pool cards.

“We want to say thank you to Tim (LeFevre) for continuing to honor the discount given to pool pass holders,” said Katie Squires, Recreation Director for Bridgeport Parks and Recreation. “They have continued a great relationship that started with the previous owner Ed (Helmick). They’ve been a great neighbor to us at the Civic Center.”

Lindsey Keith, who along with her husband, Roger Keith, are co-owners/managers of the Bridgeport Dairy Queen with her parents, Tim and Amy LeFevre, said she understands there is disappointment in the pool being closed but her family thought this would be a nice gesture for the community, especially the kids.

“We are happy to do it,” Keith said. “We are going to honor the cards as if things were normal.”
