Fifth Annual Lurch Fest Set for Saturday

The fifth annual Lurch Fest will take place from noon to dark on Saturday, Aug. 2 in Philippi.
The event celebrates the life of Ted Cassidy, a Philippi native, and his role as Lurch in the popular television series The Addams Family.
This year’s Lurch Fest, which takes place on Museum Street in Philippi, will feature live music, craft beer, food, Lurch memorabilia and merchandise, a costume contest, parade, a river paddle, fireworks and an appearance by Ted Cassidy’s son, Sean Cassidy.
There will be a handful of related events Wednesday through Friday, prior to Lurch Fest on Saturday.
