Frankie's Furry Friends: "Adoptable Pet of the Day" is Pit Mix, "Porky the Pig"

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on April 01, 2019 from Frankie's Furry Friends

Meet "Porky the Pig.” This young man is a 57 pound, 18 month old Pit Mix. He is quite unique for a couple of reasons. First and foremost his bark sounds just like a squealing pig, hence the name "Porky the Pig". Also, due to complications from his neuter surgery (Hematoma) he had to have emergency surgery to remove his scrotum as it ruptured.

The Humane Society of Harrison County is happy to report he has been released from his "Medical Hold" status and is ready for immediate adoption or a five-day foster trial.

This guy is 100 percent puppy even at the estimated age of 18 months. He loves to play and romp. We haven't been able to tire him out even once. He does really well on a leash once the crazies have calmed a bit. He is not cat-friendly and is pretty particular about what dogs he chooses to friend.

Stop out to The Humane Society of Harrison County and request "Porky the Pig.” I promise you won’t regret it and I guarantee you can't help but smile when he's in sight.

His adoption fee is just $95 and he is fully vetted for a year.

The HSHC is are open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
