Indians Hoops Coach Marshall Honored by WVSSAC

On Friday, March 20, the WVSSAC presented Dave Marshall of Bridgeport High School with the 2024-25 NFHS National Coach of the Year Award for Boys Basketball. Marshall also received the NFHS Section 2 Coach of the Year and the Van Metter West Virginia Coach of the Year honors.
Marshall has coached boys' and girls' basketball at Bridgeport since the mid-1990s, compiling a career record of 477–185 with 14 state tournament appearances. He is the only coach in West Virginia history to win both a Boys State Basketball Championship (Class AAA, 2025) and a Girls State Basketball Championship (Class AA, 2013) at the same school.
