Marion County Deputies Pull Two from Vehicle Fire

Earlier this week, on August 25 at 6:30 p.m., the Volunteers at Valley Valley Volunteer Fire Department in Marion County were alerted to assist Boothsville Volunteer Fire Departmet with a vehicle accident with entrapment on Middletown Road near Tonkrey Drive. '
Additional information given was that the accident was a vehicle vs. tractor trailer with confirmed entrapment, and that the vehicle was also starting to catch fire. Upon arrival, first responders found a two-vehicle accident with fire and occupants being pulled out by Marion County

After arrival, the fire was extinguished, but two confirmed injuries resulted in one individual being transported to Mon/Marion Hospital to the designated Landing Zone as the patient was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital. The Marion County Rescue Squad transported the other patient via ground to an area hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
Diesel fuel, motor oil and debris that was scattered throughout the roadway was cleaned up by fire personnel. More than 50 bags of oil dry was utilized along with other methods of mitigating the spill.
Valley Volunteer Fire Department praised the efforts of the deputies and members of the White Hall Police Department for their efforts in extracting the individuals.
