The 10,160 who showed up for today's Gold-Blue Spring Showcase got far more than they expected.
Billed as more of an entertainment extravaganza than an actual football game, there was still plenty of football played this afternoon - close to 90 plays, to be exact.
"I was wanting to get between 70 and 80 plays today, and the second and third guys getting three-fourths of them," West Virginia coach Rich Rodriguez explained afterward. "I think it kind of worked out that way."
