Restaurant in Area Closes its Doors after 15 Years

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on October 07, 2026

A highly popular Morgantown restaurant that has been in operation for 15 years closed made an announcement last week that it was closing its doors.

According to a Facebook post, Terra Cafe has permanently shut down. It was located at 425 Industrial Avenue, Morgantown.

The post stated that “no one is more saddened by this closure than the investment group behind Terra Cafe. We set out to build something special for Morgantown, and for 15 years it was. Terra Café was part of this community's gatherings, celebrations, and everyday routines, and we are proud of what our team and our guests built there together. It is heartbreaking that this chapter has to come to an end.”

The post noted those involved in the decision were saddened by the hardship for staff and team members. The post stated that they “we wish we could have given more notice, we wanted our team to hear it from us as soon as we knew we could no longer guarantee their employment. We wish them well in their future endeavors, and we will fulfill every responsibility we have to them as their employer.”

In the same post, the Terra Cafe addressed ownership of the restaurant. They stated that an independent group of individual investors are the owners and March-Westin does not own or operate it, nor does it own the property where the business operated for a decade and a half.

Another issue the Terra Cafe addressed was the sale of the restaurant stating it “has not been sold. The investment group is exploring options for the space, including a new operator or a new tenant.”

The post ended by stating that if anyone would be interested to operate the Terra Cafe or the space that housed it, those interested need to contact info@terracafewv.com.

The Facebook post, which contains most of the information above, can be read in its entirety HERE.
