Ribbon Cut on Hanlans Meat Market

Local officials, media and patrons were in place this afternoon for the ribbon cutting of Hanlans Meat Market on U.S. Route 50 East.
An area
staple for many years, the store/restaurant/butcher shop - previously Maple Valley Meat Market - is now under new ownership.

Ben and Kristen Hanlan are the new owners and operators. The couple, along with Ben's business parter Steve Wilson, purchased the store earlier this month from longtime owner Isaac Thomas.
Already, the new store has been very well received.
"The community support has been overwhelming," Ben Hanlan said. "It's clear that this market is important to a lot of people, and we aim to keep what they love about it, while eventually adding more features."
Today's ribbon cutting was facilitated by the Harrison County Chamber of Commerce.
