French Honorary is a group of prestigious French students at Bridgeport High School, who have obtained an A average throughout all French classes. To be inducted into French Honorary, students must be at least a junior, obtain a 3.5 overall GPA, and have taken at least four levels of French.
The 2021-22 chapter consisted of eight students: Sara Skinner (president), Isabelle Petroff (vice president), Kaitlyn Archer-Lewis (secretary), Makenna Southern (treasurer), Emma McNally, Bryar Huff, Olivia Goldizen, and Andie McCall. Together, members volunteered at the Humane Society of Harrison County, as well as the Holly Ball, organized by the Auxilary to United Hospital Center.
Six more students have recently been inducted as new members of French Honorary: Cameron Ielapi, Lydia McClung, Emma Mitchell, Josephine Todd, Bailey Tomes, and Carter Wright. The induction ceremony took place April 13, 2002, at BHS. Madame Deanna Garrett is sponsor of the French Honorary and BHS French teacher.
