By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on May 22, 2024
Donna Lynne Harman Garrett, born on October 11, 1956, gracefully departed on Friday, May 17, 2024, while surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her beloved husband, James C. Garrett, and her children: Jessica Hall (and her husband Jarrod), Jill Moats (and her husband Ryan), Kurtis Garrett (and his wife Rachel), along with her 6 cherished grandchildren and her father, Don Harman. She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Culp Harman.
For over 30 years, she shared her love for mathematics as a teacher in Taylor County, leaving an enduring impact on countless lives. Donna was a steadfast pillar of faith, exemplifying her devotion as a Christian. As a cherished member of the church choir and Lucie Byrd Eastham Circle at Simpson Creek Baptist Church, Donna’s spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. She may have lost her battle with multiple myeloma cancer which she fought courageously, but she was ultimately triumphant by passing on her virtues of grace, love, patience, and faith.
