The Grapevine: The Trip of a Lifetime

The Grapevine is coming to you aboard the Celebrity Reflection Cruise Ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean docked at the Canary 
Islands. The Canary Islands are a part of Spain and in all of Dave's travels to Europe he has never visited the Canary Islands. So he got off the ship today and I stayed on board to write the Grapevine.

Our next stop will be at Malaga then on to Cartagena, and Barcelona, Spain. Then we will visit Nice and Villefranche, France before we visit Monaco. Then it's on to Naples, Livorna and Rome Italy. This is a long trip but one of interest to both Dave and me. Dave has never visited Northern Italy but he will be anxious to visit there and I am looking forward to another visit to Rome.
For those of you who have never cruised we are on the newest ship in the Celebrity line. It is called the "Reflection" and this ship is 16 stories high. It has three pools, a spa, whirlpools, and a basketball court. There is a library, internet lounge, a casino, a large theatre and many conference rooms where lectures and cooking schools are held. There are many places to eat with a formal dining room, a buffet and many smaller dining rooms. Every night there are many bars available on the ship with different types of dance music in each location. Indeed these ships are sometimes referred to as a floating hotel but I think it is a small floating city. In my opinion, a cruise is the best R&R in the world as well as a great cultural experience. This is one of those "trips of a lifetime".
