Upshur County Officials Report Case of Chickenpox

Local health officials have reported that they are are dealing with a case of chickenpox in Upshur County. The news comes from the Upshur County Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
The group posted the information on social media early this afternon, Tuesday, July 18.
The unfortunate news is that the rare case is taking place during the World Association of Marching Show Bands (WAMSB) event in Buckhannon. The event is a draw from people across the world.
According to the post, the case is being handled by the Upshur Buckhannon Health Department in cooperation with WAMSB officials, the Upshur County Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and the West Virginia Department of Health.
