BHS Alums Reep, Wilkinson Sweep MEC Honors for the Week as Fairmont State Baseball Team Players

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on March 11, 2025

Two Fairmont State standouts have made a clean sweep of this week's Mountain East Conference Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week awards. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.

The Falcons'
Quintin Reep was tabbed as the MEC Baseball Player of the Week with Fairmont State teammate Tyler Wilkinson being honored as the MEC Pitcher of the Week.

Reep, a senior outfielder from Bridgeport who was a standout for the Indians and a state championship winner, played a major role as the Falcons won four of five games during the week.

Reep hit .450 for the week with four singles, four doubles and a home run, driving in nine runs and scoring five more.

A graduate student right-hander from Bridgeport, W.Va., Wilkinson finished the weekend off with a flourish for FSU with a one-hit shutout of Kentucky Wesleyan on Sunday.

Wilkinson fanned six and issued just two bases-on-balls in the route-going performance. A two-out single in the top of the fifth spoiled his no-hit bid.
