Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center to Play Host to Country Legend John Anderson in August

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on May 08, 2019

FROM THE ROBINSON GRAND PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

The Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center will welcome country legend John Anderson with special guest opener Kylie Frye to its historic stage on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 7:00 pm. Doors will open at 6:00 pm and concessions and bar service will be available to patrons.

The show is titled “An Acoustic Evening with John Anderson” and will give fans an intimate glimpse into his country origins. Anderson is lauded as one of the most unique singers and gifted songwriters to emerge on the country music horizon in his day. He is set to perform some of his biggest hits including "Swingin'" and "Seminole Wind." Audiences can expect a soul-rousing and toe-tapping performance with Anderson’s special blend of roots-influenced music and edgy Americana country.

Special guest opener, Kylie Frey, is coming off a big splash on USA Network’s ‘Real Country’ music reality TV Show where Frey was hand-picked by her idol, Shania Twain, to compete in the first season in the fall of 2018. Frey won her episode, earning her a spot on the show’s finale. She is not someone who is new to the music world; she has a nationally recognized single, 'Too Bad’ that features Randy Rogers and was produced by the Grammy Award-winning Paul Worley. Apart from that, her debut album also included two Top 10’s and her song 'Rodeo Man', topped the Texas Regional Radio Report Charts. Just before Frey could make her way onto 'Real Country', she released her new single 'Ain't Enough Beer'.

Executive Director, Ryan Tolley says, “We are truly excited to host John Anderson and Kylie Frey at the Robinson Grand. John is an iconic country musician, whose music spans generations of chart-topping hits, while Kylie's new hits will be a great compliment to John's timeless classics. These are two of my personal favorites! It is sure to be an exciting evening in Clarksburg!”

Tickets will be scaled into three different pricing tiers and include all taxes and fees: Tier 1 is $70.00, Tier 2 is $55.00, and Tier 3 is $35.00.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, May 10th at 10:00 am EST. There are two ways to get tickets: Go online at tickets.therobinsongrand.com or purchase tickets over the phone by calling (855)-773-6283 on Monday through Friday, 10:00 am – 11:00 pm.
