Frankie's Furry Friends: 4th Annual Paws & Claws Run Set for Sunday

The 4th Annual Paws & Claws Run for the Paws 5K Walk/Run will be held Sunday October 8 at the Freedom Shelter of Veterans Memorial (VA) Park in Clarksburg, WV. We will be set up at the Freedom Shelter near the Pool Entrance. Registration begins at Noon and the Race begins at 2PM. (Rain date will be Oct 15). Awards will be given at 3:15, and we will have several information booths available to check out as well.
This is an exciting event that allows runners and walkers alike to enjoy the outdoors, with their pets if they choose, and to help raise funds for the Humane Society of Harrison County. The proceeds help our shelter to rescue dogs and cats and provide them with the veterinary care until furever homes can be found. Being a 501c3 non profit, we rely solely on donations. Let’s enjoy a beautiful fall day and save lives!
We are also adding an incentive this year for those who are walking/running. You can also have people pledge to support you for completing the race. These pledges are donations to be made to the Humane Society of Harrison County. We recommend having each friend or family member pledge $5 (or any amount of their choosing) for you to complete the race. If you raise $100 in pledges you will receive an 'Our Mutts Love Mountaineers' Shirt as a prize! If you raise $50 you will receive a "HSHC Supporter' sticker as a prize! The biggest prize of all though is the support you, your family & friends show to the animals of Harrison County with such a donation.
