Frankie's Furry Friends: Harrison County Humane Society Hosts Spring Dance Fundraiser

The Humane Society of Harrison County is a 501c non-profit organization. What does that mean? It means we rely solely on the generosity of the public and our supporters. Every dollar that we receive goes to not only vaccinating and spay/neuter of our in-house animals, but to feeding them, to providing the aspects of the shelter (light, water, heat), insurance to cover the facility. It takes a lot of money and donations to keep our shelter going. And we appreciate every cent that comes through our door. From the small children that donate their savings or ask for shelter donations instead of birthday presents, to the groups that raise funds and provide goods to us, to those that become sponsors for our events- we appreciate you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We help to provide support to the community through our Low Cost spay and neuter program, thanks to a grant from the Harrison County Commission every year, and we are always applying for other grants as well. And let us not forget our Thrift Shop on Milford Street. All donations you make to them are in turn sold, and 100% of those proceeds support the Humane Society. Part of those funds also support our Kindest Cut spay and neuter program.
We post information in our quarterly newsletter that goes out to over 3500 people by print, and more by email. We are thankful our community media’s are helpful in spreading the word through TV and radio advertising. And we try to post as much information on events as we can using Facebook, Twitter, and our website. So please check out our events and support us. What events do we have coming up you wonder? One of our largest fundraisers! The Humane Society along with Play It Again Promotions proudly present Rick K. and the Allnighters Dance into Spring for the Shelter Animals. This event is a fun way to not only shake off the winter blues, but to help provide support for our shelter. It takes place on Saturday April 9th from 8-11pm (doors open at 6:30pm) at the Village Square on Rt 19 in Clarksburg. Rick K and the Allnighters delight with their variety of music from the Temptations to ZZ Top to Maroon 5. Tickets are $25 per person or $180 for a table of 8, and reservations can be made using PayPal at our websitewww.hshcwv.org, or if you have questions please call 304-842-6510 or 304-592-1600 (ask for Frankie). Reservations WILL ONLY be taken for tables of 8. The reservation must be made and paid for ALL TOGETHER FOR THE DISCOUNTED PRICE TO APPLY FOR TABLES OF 8. For any number of tickets under 8, they can be bought in advance or
at the door. Seating for those tickets will be “select” your own seat the night of the dance.
PLEASE NOTE: All drinks must be purchased from Village Square. The includes soft drinks, wine, beer, and liquor. Food is also available for purchase.
