As aways, Main Street will be closed for the event, which will feature live music, seasonal contests, a beach ball drop, children’s activities, and area food trucks. New to the 2024 event was a pie baking contest, which will continue this year.
Moving into the fall season, the ABB Scarecrow Display/Contest will be held Oct. 5-31. Any business with an ABB membership is invited to design and post a scarecrow on the city light post which will be assigned after registering for the event. Voting will be available on Connect-Bridgeport. In addition to the people’s choice award, a judges’ choice will be announced with impartial ABB business owners serving as judges.
