Cardiologist Paul A. Alappat, MD, FACC comes to United Hospital Center from Santa Rosa Medical Center in Milton, FL. A Board-certified physician in internal medicine, he is also certified in the subspecialties of cardiovascular diseases and nuclear medicine.
After graduating from the MBBS Karnatak Medical College in India, he took his internal medicine residency at Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens, Jamaica, NY, and went on to be the chief medical resident at NY Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. He was a cardiology fellow at Cornell Medical Center, New York, NY.
His professional career may have begun in New York but for much of the past 24 years, he has been a West Virginian, practicing in Morgantown where he specialized in a number of procedures: cardiac catheterizations, temporary pacemaker insertions, and heart related testing such as echocardiograms, exercise and nuclear stress tests, and various heart monitors.
