JES, City of Bridgeport have Special Visitor this Week

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on February 14, 2020

FROM JOHNSON ELEMENTARY TEACHER TAYA TRENT

This past weekend was an exciting weekend for one individual in Bridgeport.  Some would say he is unique, some would say he is different, others would just call him flat.
Flat Stanley arrived at Johnson Elementary School to Mrs. Trent’s 5th grade classroom!  He came all the way from Sacred Heart Academy in Redlands, California courtesy of 2nd grader Cheyenne Good.

Stanley has never seen snow so he spent time visiting a few areas around town, documenting his travels and interesting facts to share when he eventually returns to CA.  Stanley will be leaving Bridgeport this week and will head to Hollister, Missouri to see the sites and tour the area.

Before he goes, Stanley would like to thank the men and women of the City of Bridgeport Police Department and Fire Department for taking time out of their day to pose for pictures!  Your dedication to safety as well as your eagerness to have fun with a student’s project is one of the things that makes Bridgeport a great place to live.  Thank you for all you do!

Editor's Note: Flat Stanley made a stop at the Bridgeport Polilce Department. Check out the gallery below to see a few more areas in the city where Flat Stanley was at before heading to Missouri.
