One Person Dead as Result of Accident on Route 119

On Monday, June 10, 2024, at 3:45 p.m., Monongalia County Sheriffs Deputies were dispatched to the Grafton Road (Route 119) near the intersection with Horseman’s Trail for a two-vehicle accident.
A 2014 Toyota Tundra was traveling northbound in the southbound lane while overtaking other northbound traffic and a 2024 Honda ATV was traveling in the southbound lane. The Toyota Tundra struck the Honda ATV head on in the southbound lane.
The driver ofthe ATV died at the scene as a result ofhis injuries. Monongalia County Sheriffs Deputies and Monongalia County Sheriffs Office Accident reconstruction Team were assisted by the Triune-Halleck Volunteer Fire Department, Clinton District Volunteer Fire Department and Mon EMS,
