Well-Known Harrison County Business Owner, Allen Keith Freeman, Passes Away at the Age of 72

Allen Keith Freeman, age 72, passed away at his home in Jane Lew, WV, of natural causes on Saturday, December 7, 2024. Born January 5, 1952, son of the late Eldon Keith and C. Ellouise Freeman.
 
He was preceded in death by Donna Freeman and his best friend Timmy Mirarchi.
 
He was a 1970 graduate of Washington-Irving High School, Clarksburg, WV. Surviving is his wife, Kellie Flynn Freeman, whom he married December 13, 2019. Surviving Allen are his children, Daughter, Ashley (Dave) Blair, Cranberry TWP, PA; Son, Tim (Miriam) Freeman, San Antonio, TX; Son, Jordan Freeman, Lubbock, TX; Stepson, Nick (Emilee) Amaro, San Mateo, CA; Stepson, Dean (Courtney) Klus. Grandpa to Gavin and Easton Blair and Heidi Freeman. Also, Ollie and Landon Amaro and Camden Klus. He was a brother to Jim (Susan) and Ralph (late Cathy) Freeman along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
 
Allen was the owner of Smokey’s in Nutter Fort, WV. Many friends and ‘family’ of Smokey’s, as well as Brickside will miss the many entertaining conversations with him. Among Allen’s many passions were WVU sports, traveling with wife, and spending time with family and friends. According to Allen’s wishes, his organs were donated.
 
In lieu of flowers, Allen’s family is requesting that friends and family bring items to the service to donate to the Lewis-Upshur Animal Control Facility.
 
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 2-5 PM, where a service will be held at 5:00 PM with Reverend James Snyder presiding.

A Celebration of Life for Allen will be at Brickside following the service. Let’s Go Mountaineers!
