Indians Get Walk-Off Victory Against Cabell Midland; BHS Goes 3-1 in Annual McDonald's Classic

 Justin Duvall hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the eighth to lift Bridgeport to a 4-3 victory against Cabell Midland in the McDonald’s Baseball Classic Saturday.
 
The Indians went 3-1 in the two-day event and improved to 12-5 overall.
On Friday, BHS defeated Wheeling Park, 7-2 and lost to Jefferson, 9-6. Prior to the victory against Cabell Midland, the Indians defeated Frankfort, 5-2.
 
Blake Butcher picked up the win out of the bullpen against Cabell Midland, pitching one perfect inning with a strikeout.
 
Guy Avolio had a pair of hits against the Knights and scored a run. Jacob Stavrakis drove in a run and scored on Duvall’s single. Kasen Baun also drove in a run.
 
In the victory against Frankfort, Stavrakis picked up the win, hurling 6 2-3 innings with four strikeouts.
 
Avolio and Sam Romano each had two hits. Avolio and Aiden Dunn each scored two runs.
 
On Friday, the Indians broke a 2-all tie against Wheeling Park with three runs in the bottom of the fifth and added a pair of insurance runs in the sixth.
 
Baun earned the win, allowing two hits in four innings with six strikeouts. He also had two RBIs at the plate.
 
Luke Rohrig had two hits, including a double, and scored twice. Sean Via also drove in two runs.
 
In the loss to the Cougars, Michael Romano had three hits and scored twice. Rohrig had two hits and drove in three. Stavrakis added two hits, including a double, and two RBIs.
 
Dom Fazalare suffered the loss.
 
Bridgeport returns to action on Monday on the road against Elkins.
