Photos: BHS Baseball Team Closes Out Regular Season with 9-1 Victory Against Robert C. Byrd

The Bridgeport High School baseball team closed out the regular season with a 9-1 victory against Robert C. Byrd on Thursday,
With the win, the Indians improve to 26-4 and will be the No. 1 seed in next week's Class AAA Region I, Section 2 tournament. Stay tuned to Connect-Bridgeport for the times and dates of the sectional tournament once they are released.
Against RCB, the Indians scored seven runs over the first three innings, the big blow being a three-run homer from Kasen Baun.
Baun finished with two hits and scored two runs.
Seven other players had one hit for the Indians, with Grant Lively and Ben Bifano hitting doubles.
Jacob Stavrakis picked up the win, allowing two hits over four shutout innings with no walks and five strikeouts.
Justin Duvall was equally strong on the mound out of the bullpen. He allowed three hits in three innings, one unearned run, no walks and struck out six.
