By Joe LaRocca on March 25, 2025

Bridgpeort High School, the 2024 Class AAA state champions, was the bigger winner at Monday's 42nd Annual Frank Loria Awards Banquet held at the Bridgeport Conference Center.

The Indians swept all of the major awards at the banquet recognizing the all-Harrison County football team. Josh Love took home the heavy hardware by being named the winner of the Loria Award as the top player in Harrison County. He also was the recipient of the Frank Loria Academic Achievement Award along with winning a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by lawyer David Romano

Wes Brown was named the Loria Lineman of the Year for the top lineman in Harrison County. Coach Tyler Phares, who led the Indians to the 14-0 season and the school’s 11th state title, was named the Loria Coach of the Year.
