There seems to be a misconception that a bad decision is different than breaking the law, where in most situations they are one in the same. I've heard victims of DUI accident's who killed someone say I should have never gotten behind the wheel, but that decision to break the law cost someone else who was innocent, their life. Most of the time a poor decision results in breaking of laws in one way or another, whether it be man's laws or God's laws. Having an extramarital affair is breaking man & God's laws & has consequences of similar results if caught. But before punishment is prematurely handed down, everyone is entitled to their day in court, & that's where people & the media need to not pass a biased prejudgement.

I strongly disagree Mayor Blount is NOT a bad person, he made bad choices. There are laws, codes of ethics & an oath he took to become a pharmacist. He violated all the above and was charged with running a "pill mill" for money. Sure, there is not a person alive who hasn't made a poor decision. Committing a crime far surpasses a bad decision. We are all responsible for the paths we choose and it appears he took a wrong turn in the road. No one is casting stones, if there was a crime committed, he should pay the price.

It drives me insane when sick people say "The criminal activities do not effect their ability to run the government." Wasn't Tammany Hall just wonderful? These PC Police attempt to get people to shut up so no one will think there is any outrage about crooks in government. There have been numerous cases (not just in WV) where relatives and friends of the accused use this method to keep them in power. Clarksburg still has Lopez, a convicted lawbreaker on their City Council. The PC Police were successful in keeping him there as few people dared to speak out about the criminal. But who can fault the government officials' disdain for the rule of law... they are only following the example of the President. Thank goodness there is law enforcement in West Virginia that refuses to follow Eric Holder's example.

It's true that many times suspects are prematurely judged long before getting their day in court by way of media. Please keep in mind as mentioned in the article, the accusations are only that, & need to be proven without doubt. This man may have done things that are considered wrong, but let the first person that is perfect throw the first stone, I know I can't. He deserves the chance to prove his side before being condemned by rumors & newscasts.

Remember too, Citizens of Bridgeport this man isn't alone in all this. There are others, rest assured. Mayor Blount is the only one who got caught, that's all. It doesn't make him a bad person, he just made some bad choices.

Remember Citizens of Bridgeport we put this man in office, Lets give him the benefit of the doubt until all the facts are in...quoting U.S. Attorney Ihlenfeld" the indictments are accusations. He said all that are indicted are innocent until proven guilty."
