He played an integral part in Bridgeport’s 23-3 season and although his high school basketball career may have seemed to have ended in the Indians’ heartbreaking Class AA semifinal loss to Fairmont Senior, Nick Greely still has one more game to play.
Recently, Greely was named to the roster of the annual North-South Basketball Classic. The game is set for June 17 at the South Charleston Community Center.
“I’m glad for Nick to the opportunity to play another game and this time in front of a wide range of spectators from across the state,” said Bridgeport Coach Mike Robey.
Greely averaged roughly 20 points and eight rebounds per game for the Tribe. The 6’6 center was named to the Class AA all-state first team.
Along with Greely, others from the Big 10 Conference that Greely competed with will be on the roster with him, including Robert C. Byrd point guard Luke Dyer. Other locals that are part of the North roster include Darhius Nunn of state champion Fairmont Senior, Ben Riley of Lewis County.
