Harrison County Parks and Recreation Punt Pass and kick and soccer challenge

On Saturday, September 15th, Harrison county Parks and Recreation and the Knights of Columbus #872 will host the HCPR Punt, Pass, and Kick competition and the 12th annual Kirkwood Memorial Soccer Challenge at Wayne Jamison Field in Bridgeport. The Punt, Pass, and Kick Competition will be open for all boys and girls between ages 6-15, as of December 31st 2018. In this competition, both distance and accuracy will be tested. Scores will be determined by taking the distance of each category and subtracting the distance off the target line. The Kirkwood Memorial soccer challenge will be open to all boys and girls ages 6-14, as of September 1st, 2018. In this event, participants must kick for accuracy with designated areas of the goal being worth different point values. The winners in the 9 through 14 age groups will move to the state wide competition to be announced at a later date. Children ages 6 through 8 are allowed to participate, but are not eligible to move to the state competition Registration for the events will begin at 10:00 A.M, and both events are free.
