City Faces in Different Places

By Michelle Duez on September 07, 2014 from City Faces

Bridgeport is a wonderful place to raise a family. There are many families that have several generations living in the community. Donna Baldini Mitchell was raised in Bridgeport and is now raising her own family in this community.  Please take a moment to meet a wonderful person and my friend, Donna.

How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Donna has lived in Bridgeport her entire life.  She graduated from BHS in 1989 and WV Wesleyan College in 1993, majoring in Political Science and Psychology.

Are you married? Donna is married to Daniel Mitchell.  They were married in 1999 in Wytheville, Virginia.  Daniel graduated from WI High School in 1986.  He was in the United States Navy for nine years and then attended Fairmont State University, graduating in 2000.

Children? Jordan, 22, a senior at WVU studying Exercise Physiology; Jack, 14, a freshman at BHS and Emma, 9, a fourth grader at Johnson Elementary.  Jack enjoys playing basketball and Emma is a dancer.

What is your favorite color? Purple

Where do you work? Director of Operations of Pete Dye Golf Club.

Favorite Bridgeport spot? Her home in Woodside Heights.

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? If Donna has free time, she likes to get away to their family cabin on the Buckhannon River.  It’s a little bit of heaven.

Favorite place outside of WV? Nemacolin Woodlands to relax and utilize the spa.

Favorite restaurant? The restaurant at Pete Dye Golf Club.

Best childhood memory? Riding in the back of her dad’s pickup truck with her siblings to go roller skating in Shinnston before Bridgeport had a rink is a fond memory for Donna.

Favorite musical group? Michael Jackson is her favorite artist.  She feels there are too many good songs to choose a favorite.

Hobbies? Donna enjoys spending time with family and friends and reading.

Interesting fact about you?  Donna has worked at Pete Dye Golf Course for twenty years.  She has built relationships with members and guests that are like extended family.
