City Faces in Different Places

By Michelle Duez on October 05, 2014 from City Faces

The North Central West Virginia Airport is alive and well in Bridgeport.  Tracy Miller  is an important pice of the puzzle to promote the airport and the many businesses at the airport industrial complex.  Please take a moment to meet my friend Tracy.

How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Tracy has lived in Bridgeport for one year, but she has been working in Bridgeport for almost ten years.

Where are you originally from? Tracy was raised in Charleston, graduated from WVU, moved to Charleston, South Carolina for three years.  She moved back to Charleston, West Virginia for a long stint & got her masters, then moved back to Morgantown prior to settling in Bridgeport.

What is your favorite color? Green…….everyone in her family has green eyes.

Where do you work? Tracy works for the Mid-Atlantic Aerospace Complex in Bridgeport.  She has been in economic development, marketing and promoting the great State of West Virginia for over eighteen years.  She feels she has an amazing job and is proud to be part of a team that promotes West Virginia as a great place to live, work and play.  She currently does marketing and promoting of the North Central West Virginia Airport as well as for the aerospace industry sector at the NCWVA.

Favorite Bridgeport spot? Any of the great Italian food restaurants in the area.  Tracy feels there is nothing like it in any other part of the state.

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport?  Mile Marker 5.5 on the Greenbrier River Trail.  She feels its like Heaven on Earth because of its serene beauty.  It’ a great place for her to get away.  She likes to visit this area as much as time allows.

Favorite place outside of WV?  Tracy loves to travel and appreciates any new adventure.  She can’t pick just one place.

Favorite restaurant?  Tracy feels every moment of eating out in this area is a treat – she love them all.

Best childhood memory? Tracy remembers going to Carbide “sleep away” Camp. Anyone that grew up in Kanawha Valley probably had someone they were related to that worked at Carbide and going to Carbide Camp was a magical experience.

Favorite musical group?  She loves music very much, but her heart is happiest with Bluegrass.  It is in this West Virginia girl’s soul.

Hobbies? In her spare time, Tracy likes to cross country ski, hike, cook, read, and spend time with her family.

Interesting fact about you?  She drove a NASCAR race car around the Charlotte Motor Speedway and loved the experience.  She would do it again in a heartbeat.

Are you married? Yes, to Bruce Miller.  She calls him her Park Ranger, as he is a West Virginia outdoor enthusiast and has been in Parks & Recreation his entire career.

Children? Three Miller step-children living in Maryland:  Riley,21, and is following his father’s footsteps and studying Wildlife Management at Garrett County Community College. Becca,18, just graduated high school and is going to school at Montgomery County Community College, and Collin,16, is a Junior in high school.

Pets? She has a nine and a half year old pound puppy named Arlo.  He has a very sweet and laid back personality which allowed him to be registered as a hospice volunteer at Mon General Hospital and even starred in his own commercial.
