City Faces in Different Places

With no grocery store currently in Bridgeport, I frequently visit Dollar General for odds and ends like milk, bread and laundry detergent. The cashiers are always friendly and the store is clean. This is where I’ve come to meet Susan Hogeboom. Please take a moment to meet my new friend Susan.
How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Twenty years
Where are you originally from? Clarksburg, Susan is a 1982 graduate of WIHS. She started college at Fairmont State, joined the Navy in 1983 for four years and then started a family.
Are you married? No 
Children? Christopher, 28, is a 2004 BHS graduate; Joshua, 27, is a 2005 BHS graduate; Cody, 24, is a 2008 graduate and Ashley, 18, a senior at BHS.
What is your favorite color? Royal Blue
Where do you work? Dollar General in Bridgeport. She recently finished her Associate Degree in Accounting from Fairmont State University.
Favorite Bridgeport spot? Hinkle and Deegan Lakes and the Bridgeport Dog Park
Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? Any mountain get away. Susan appreciates the tranquility of the mountains and getting away from the city.
Favorite place outside of WV? Any beach for the same reasons as above but warmer.
Favorite restaurant? Outback
Best childhood memory? Going to Niagara Falls with her family
Favorite musical group? Susan enjoys all music, you never know what might be playing on her radio.
Pets? A Chihuahua named Bella and a cat named Sophie. Both pets were rescues.
Hobbies? Hiking and reading are Susan’s hobbies. She enjoys books about paranormal activity.
Interesting fact about you? Susan was stationed on the Hawaiian island of Oahu for her first post in the Navy. She really enjoyed living on an island and would like to return for vacation.
