City Faces in Different Places

By Michelle Duez on January 04, 2015 from City Faces

Happy New Year!  Wishing everyone a  healthy and happy 2015!

Bridgeport has been unofficially coined "Title Town".  Michele Hutchinson is no stranger to winning in her past and present.  Please take a moment to meet my friend Michele.

How long have you lived in Bridgeport?  Michele moved to Bridgeport in 2008 from Fairmont.

Where are you originally from? Michele grew up in Farmington and graduated from North Marion High School in 1987.  She also is a 1992 graduate of WVU with a degree in Physical Therapy.

Are you married? Yes, to Will Hutchinson.  Will was born in Florida and raised in the Santa Barbara area of California.  He attended Arizona State University to study engineering and later went into the Air Force for avionics stationed at Plattsburgh Air Force Base, NY.  He later served in England as well.  Will moved to West Virginia for work and met Michele on a blind date.  They were married in Fairmont in 2002.

Children? Two children - Gene, 11, is a 6th grader at BMS. He loves to play basketball & baseball.  Anna, 9, is a 4th grader at Johnson and plays soccer.

What is your favorite color? Blue

Where do you work? Michelle is a physical therapist at United Hospital Center Outpatient Physical Therapy.

Favorite Bridgeport spot? City Park and the Bridgeport Recreation Complex are her favorite places and loves watching her kids play sports at these venues.  They both also have nice walking trails.

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport?  The serene beauty of Canaan Valley attracts Michele and her family.  She loves the quiet atmosphere and enjoys the outdoor activities the valley offers in all seasons.

Favorite place outside of WV? Michele has cruised the Caribbean several times and likes the warm and relaxed atmosphere.

Favorite restaurant?  Olive Garden

Favorite musical group?   Christian rock and anything from the 80s

Hobbies?  Exercise and bible study

Interesting fact about you?  Michele grew up in a family of West Virginia State Champions.  Her dad – coached state champion football and wrestling teams at North Marion High School (NMHS) and at Mannington High School; her mom – coached state champion cheerleading at NMHS; Michele was a state champion cheerleader and coached a state champion team at NMHS; her sister was a state champion cheerleader at NMHS and her brother was a multiple time state champion wrestler at NMHS.

Michele’s son Gene is now continuing the legacy and was a 2014 WV State 9-10 yr. Old Little League Champion.
