How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Angela was born and raised in Bridgeport and still resides in Bridgeport. Angela graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1989. Angela attended Fairmont State University. She pledged Sigma Sigma Sigma and was on the Fairmont State dance line. Angela graduated with an Elementary Education Degree and went on to West Virginia University to get her Master’s degree in Administration and Principalship. Are you married? Yes to Joseph Messe. They were married in 1997 at All Saints Catholic Church in Bridgeport where they still attend. They have been married for 18 years. Joe is from Stonewood. He graduated from Roosevelt Wilson High School (RW) in 1987. Bridgeport and RW were big rival schools back when he played sports for RW. He likes to joke and say he’s glad his school is not in existence anymore because it would be tough cheering for Bridgeport. But truth be told, he was a big Bridgeport fan from the moment his sons started playing and he started coaching. He saw and experienced all the hard work and time, not only the kids, but also the coaches and parents put into sports and academics. Joe graduated from Fairmont State University.
Children? Angela and Joe have two boys, Joshua, a freshmen at Bridgeport High School and Connor, in 5th grade at Simpson School. They both keep her busy with sports and academics.

She says she will always be an 80’s girl though and enjoys classics such as Journey, REO Speedwagon, Styx, Motley Crue, Poison, etc. She has always loved music and it reflects in her kids who can sing along to not only the new music but also the 80’s.
Interesting fact about you? Angela’s senior year at BHS, she and four other BHS Seniors went on a school trip to Italy, France, and Switzerland with their history teacher Mr. Richard Iaquinta and his mother. They saw and enjoyed a lot of the popular sights and culture including: shopping in Zurich, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, gondola rides along the Venice Canals, the Pope at Vatican City, beautiful cathedrals in Florence, St Mark’s Basilica, and the Coliseum. She is so thankful to her parents, John and Connie for giving her the opportunity to experience all these wonderful things that many people only get to read about.
