City Faces in Different Places

By Michelle Duez on March 22, 2015 from City Faces

City Faces in Different Places is sponsored by Bridgeport Annuity Exchange.  Bridgeport is rich with volunteers and civic pride.  The General Federation of Woman's Clubs has been in Bridgeport for 65 years.  Jerri Hinebaugh is a long-time volunteer...please take a moment to meet my friend Jerri.

How long have you lived in Bridgeport?  Jerri settled in Bridgeport in 1989.

Where are you originally from? Jerri is from Clarksburg.  She is a 1987 Liberty High School graduate.  She obtained her elementary education degree from Fairmont State University in 1992.

Are you married? Yes, to Jamie Hinebaugh.  Jamie is from Enterprise and a 1988 graduate of Lincoln High School.  They were married in Fairmont in 1998.

Children? One daughter, Chloe – she is a first grader at Johnson.   Chloe loves to play soccer.

What is your favorite color? Red

Where do you work? Jerri is a third grade teacher at Wilsonburg Elementary School.

Favorite Bridgeport spot? Hinkle and Deegan Lakes for their peaceful environment; it’s a nice place to picnic and fish with the family.

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? Seneca Rocks – Jerri loves how the rocks meet the sky.  She also enjoys the occasional glimpse of an eagle.

Favorite place outside of WV? New York City for all the opportunities that it represents.

Favorite restaurant? Harrison County and North Central West Virginia has an enormous array of culinary talent.  Jerri appreciates the wide variety of restaurant choices and trying new dishes.

Best childhood memory? Jerri fondly remembers playing with neighborhood kids… they didn’t go home until the street lights came on.  She also remembers driving to Oregon with her dad when she was very young.

Favorite musical group?  Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are two of Jerri’s favorites.

Pets? A hermit crab and fish

Hobbies? Jerri likes to paint, craft, read, travel, listen to music and be with her family.  She loves to go to the theater and listen to opera.

Interesting fact about you?  Jerri is a 19 year member of the GFWC Bridgeport Junior Woman’s Club.  She is a past president and has served on the state board and council. She enjoys meeting new people.  Jerri loves to recreate things she sees and make them her own, especially with cooking and art.
