Every Sunday, I like to head to the Bridgeport Farmer’s Market at Charles Pointe. Deb Workman and crew do a wonderful job keeping the market going week after week. Bridgeport is fortunate to have such a wonderful asset. If you haven’t gone, you really should. There is something for everyone. Please take a moment to get to know Deb and say hi when you stop by the market.
1. How long have you lived in Bridgeport? 20 years, she grew up in Stonewood.
2. What is your favorite color? Green
3. Where did you go to school? Roosevelt Wilson High School, 1980 graduate; Davis & Elkins College, studied business
5. What’s your favorite WV place? Holly River State Park. She went there frequently as a child. It was on of her father’s favorite places. She loves the hiking trails, picnic areas, etc. It’s the same today as it was when she was a child.
6. Favorite place outside of WV? Key West, Florida. She loves the warmth and fun in the sun, the beautiful water and delicious seafood
7. Are you married? Yes, to Bob Workman. He is also a 1980 graduate of RWHS. They were married at 1st United Presbyterian Church in Clarksburg in 1982.
8. Where do you work? She and her husband Bob own Touchstone Data Systems. They are the only authorized micros POS dealer in West Virginia catering to restaurants
9. Do you have children? Yes, two daughters, Amanda and Alexis. Amanda is married to Brent Yager and graduated from BHS in 2000. Alexis is a 2001 BHS graduate. Both girls live in Richmond, Virginia
10. Hobbies? Bridgeport Farmer’s Market, reading – especially history
11. Interesting fact about you? Deb was the 1979 Miss West Virginia United Teenager
