City Faces in Different Places

By Michelle Duez on November 08, 2015 from City Faces

Please take a moment to meet this week's City Face, Kristi Lafferty.  City Faces in Different Places is sponsored by Weber Heating, Cooling and Refrigeration.

How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Kristi lives in Mt. Clare and is in the Bridgeport school district.  They built their home in 2002.

Where are you originally from? Clarksburg, she is a 1991 WIHS graduate.  She obtained her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in 1995 and her Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2000.

Are you married? Yes, she is married to Chris Lafferty.  They were married in 1998 at Quiet Dell United Methodist Church.  Chris was in the last graduating class of RWHS, 1990.  He is a crew chief for First Energy substation division.

Children? Yes, one son, Noah. Noah is a sophomore at BHS.  He runs cross country for BHS, plays baseball and received his BHS academic letter this year.

What is your favorite color? Blue

Where do you work? Kristi is the owner and operator of Dermatology Outreach.  She has offices in Bridgeport, Fairmont, Parkersburg, Buckhannon, Elkins, Summersville and Weston.

Favorite Bridgeport spot? City Park, she has fond memories of Bridgeport Little League baseball, youth football and BHS cross country with her son in the park.

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport?  Summersville Lake for Kristi -she thinks it’s the clearest lake in WV and a great place to boat.  The rock cliffs surrounding the lake create a beautiful environment.

Favorite place outside of WV? The Lafferty family frequently travels and explores new places.  Two years ago they all became scuba certified.  Two to three times a year they take a trip to the Caribbean to visit a new island and scuba dive.  It’s hard to pick just one favorite place as they are all beautiful in their own way.

Favorite restaurant? Twin Oaks for their pizza and more recently, her family has enjoyed Primanti Brothers in New Pointe Plaza.

Best childhood memory?  She remembers going to Audra State Park having a picnic with her family.  Sitting on the rocks in the middle of a waterfall, going for walks, etc. always provided a fun day with family and friends.

Favorite musical group?  She listens to current pop music, top 40 music, she listens to Z100, out of New York, as well as many genres of music.

Pets? Two German Short-haired Pointer dogs, named Scout and Ruger

Hobbies? Fashion, decorating, party planning are a few of her favorites.  She is a merchandiser for Chloe and Isabel Jewelry Company.  She enjoys it as a creative outlet and as an added benefit, she receives discounted jewelry for her professional and personal life.

Interesting fact about you? Kristi is very self-motivated.  She strives to be successful in everything that she does in her life. She really enjoys being a nurse practitioner and taking care of her patients, as well as traveling in her free time.  She loves to see the world with her family.
