Please take a moment to meet this week’s City Face in Different Places, Teresa VanAlsburg.
How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Teresa moved to Bridgeport in 2012. 
Where are you originally from? Rock Cave, WV. She is a 1996 Buckhannon-Upshur High School graduate. She earned her B.A. in Sociology from West Virginia Wesleyan and will complete her MEd. (Master’s in Education) from Tiffin University in April 2016.
Are you married? Yes, to Chip VanAlsburg. He is from the Ohio Valley. They were married in 2012 at Wesley Chapel in Buckhannon.
Children? Yes, she has three children. Lily,14, is freshman at BHS. She is involved in GFWC Juniorettes, DECA, Younglife, Humane Society Club, and Key Club. Ethan,8, plays U10 Soccer and Brady, 7, plays U8 soccer.
What is your favorite color? Turquoise
Where do you work? Teresa works at Alderson Broaddus University as the Director of Career Services.
Favorite Bridgeport spot? Bridgeport City Park
Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? Snowshoe
Favorite place outside of WV? Anywhere that has a beach is her favorite place.
Favorite restaurant? Provence Market
Best childhood memory? Cooking in the kitchen with my grandma is a fond memory for Teresa.
Favorite musical group? Pearl Jam
Pets? None
Hobbies? Reading, cooking and baking
