Please take a moment to meet this week's City Face in Different Places, Dr. Rob Kress:
How long have you lived in Bridgeport? One and a half years
Where are you originally from? Rob grew up in Caldwell, Ohio. He’s attended Ohio State University where he obtained his degree in Zoology in 2008 and a Doctor of Optometry in 2012.
Are you married? No, however, he is in a relationship with Melissa McNicholas. Melissa is a teacher at Taylor County Middle School.
What is your favorite color? Red
Where do you work? Rob is an optometrist at Bridgeport Eye Care, offices in Bridgeport and Buckhannon.
Favorite Bridgeport spot? Pete Dye Golf Course
Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? Valley Falls State Park because it’s a beautiful and peaceful place to relax.
Favorite place outside of WV? The Horseshoe (Ohio State Stadium) is his favorite because of the incredible atmosphere… 100,000 fans all cheering loud creates the perfect college football environment.
Favorite restaurant? Sushi King in Columbus, Ohio
Best childhood memory? Attending his first Ohio State football game with his dad and brother Ted is one of his fondest memories.
Favorite musical group? Rob’s dial is often tuned to classic rock. Led Zeppelin is his favorite band and Hey, Hey, What Can I Do is his favorite song.
Pets? A dog named Zoe and a cat named Remus
Hobbies? Golf and bowling
Interesting fact about you? Rob was valedictorian of his high school class at Caldwell High School.
