Please take a moment to meet this week's City Face Pam Alonge:
How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Pam has lived in Bridgeport since summer 2007.
Where are you originally from? Pam is from the DC area. Her family moved to Lumberport when she was five. She is a Lincoln High School graduate and obtained her B.S. in Computer Science from WVU. She is currently working on her Master’s in Software Engineering at WVU as well.
Are you married? No
Children? Pam has three children. Gino, 21, is a 2013 BHS grad and a junior at WVU studying Civil Engineering; Jenna, 19, is a 2015 BHS graduation and a freshman at West Virginia Wesleyan studying nursing; and Joey, 16, is a sophomore in high school.
What is your favorite color? Green
Where do you work? Pam is a government contractor.
Favorite Bridgeport spot? Maple Lake is her favorite because it’s a nice community and a great place to walk and swim.
Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? The New River Gorge area because of the variety of recreational activities she and her kids enjoy there in the summer. She also likes Snowshoe for skiing.
Favorite place outside of WV? Pam likes Rodanthe, North Carolina in the Outer Banks. The area has good surf waves and is a great place to relax.
Favorite restaurant? Pam enjoys going to many restaurants but especially likes the Mountaineer Grille and Meagher’s Irish Pub.
Best childhood memory? Going to the National Zoo with her mom is a fond memory for Pam.
Favorite musical group? U2 and Imagine Dragons
Pets? Pam doesn’t have any pets but would like to get a Maine Coon cat.
Hobbies? Golfing, swimming, tennis, hiking, and horseback riding are a few of her hobbies.
Interesting fact about you? Pam visited Australiain the 1990s. She loved the food, thought the people were nice and it was beautiful. She would love to go back and visit. She also has a brother that lives in Siberia.
